We all expected the iPhone X design to be adopted by other models and it seems like this might just be coming true. Renowned Apple analyst Ming Chi-Kuo from KGI securities has released a new report that suggests Apple will be launching three iPhones next year. What’s interesting is that three iPhone models will sport these sizes: 5.8-inches and 6.5-inches with OLED displays along with a 6.1-inch version with an LCD display.

The report was originally shared by Macrumors and it adds that all three devices will host a full-screen design like the iPhone X and also have Face ID. These reports also claim that the infamous notch is not going anywhere and will be a feature on all three iPhone models. Kuo goes on to add that the 5.8-inch version will have the same 458 psi as the iPhone X and have a resolution of 2,436 x 1,125 pixels.
The larger 6.5-inch iPhone will have 480 to 500 ppi while the 6.1-inch model with the TFT LCD display will have a ppt between 320 and 330 PPI. In his latest research note, obtained by MacRumors, Kuo said: “the 6.1-inch model will have a lower-resolution LCD display and target the low-end and mid-range markets with an estimated $649 to $749 starting price in the United States.”
If these reports are to be believed, the new iPhone lineup will have the second generation of the iPhone X with a similar size and a larger 6.5-inch version of the iPhone X. The larger device is being dubbed as “iPhone X Plus” and will have almost the same features as the current iPhone X. Kuo also suggests that Apple will not face any delays in shipments as he expects them to launch without any delays. He believes that Apple’s supply chain will be better equipped now that the iPhone X production is in full swing.
Kuo may not have a perfect track record, however, these predictions have been accurate enough to pinpoint Apple’ supply chain issues and detailed the iPhone X accurately. He also predicted the 5.8-inch display, glass and stainless steel body, the removal of the home button and 3D sensing technology accurately. It’s worth noting that these are just rumours at the moment and there is no confirmation of the report by Apple or any other source. Rest assured, we will keep you updated about any iPhone developments as soon as we hear them.
