In 2017, mainstream flagships and their swelling price tags might have attracted the most attention, but the truth is that you don’t have to spend too much in order to get a decent smartphone nowadays. There is stiff competition in the lower price segments of the market, with many manufacturers offering inexpensive handsets that pack popular features, good looks, and adequate hardware.
Chinese phone maker Leagoo has been producing some well-rounded contenders in the past, but its latest T5c model might be its best value-for-money proposition to date. Let’s give it a quick look!
Although not an “all-screen” smartphone, the T5c features a distinguishable design. On the front, there’s a 5.5-inch Sharp-made display. It has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and is made on the IPS technology.
A big highlight of this mid-ranger is the dual camera composition at the back. The 13MP Samsung main camera is responsible for taking all the photos, while an assistive 2MP sensor is employed for depth perception. Leagoo uses the pair for a special Portrait mode where the background is blurred in order to bring more attention to the subject.
Specs aside, the biggest allure of the T5c is its price. Leagoo will be selling the device for $129.99, but keep in mind that additional fees related shipping and taxes may apply. The company will start shipping units on December 5th.
Until that date, users can also sign up for a promotion that gives them the chance to grab a unit for $1.99. For more information on the deal and the phone itself, feel free to follow the link below.
