Although it addressed the Xperia XZ Premium camera distortion issues, Android 8.0 Oreo broke the camera sensor’s functionality, which meant that the RGBC-IR and ToF (Laser AF) features were not working within the parameters.
In other words, most of the pictures captured with the Xperia XZ Premium were blurry and some features like 3D Creator were no longer functional.
The good news is Sony Mobile has just released a new update for its flagship smartphone, which is meant to fix the new camera sensor issues, which mainly affected the dual-SIM version of Xperia XZ Premium.
In addition, the Japanese handset maker announced it included the November security patch in the update. The new update is pushed OTA (over the air) worldwide, but it might take several days to reach all devices, so be patient.
