Samsung has already been working on their next lineup of smartphones and there have been plenty of rumours that suggest a foldable smartphone. However, a new leak says that Samsung is working on a new version of the Galaxy S9 that will have a radical change in design.
Leaker Ice Universe revealed that the Galaxy S9 will come in three different sizes which include a Galaxy S9 Plus and a 5-inch Galaxy S9 ‘mini’. The smaller device will have the same features as the larger models with the same specs but the only difference will be the size of the phone. The smaller handset will feature the Infinity Edge display and a handful of other features.
Ice Universe also claims to have seen the Galaxy S9 which will sport a dual camera setup like the Galaxy Note 8. The Galaxy S9 sporting a dual camera setup doesn’t come as a surprise, however, the lens will have a BBAR coating. This coating is only used in professional DSLRs and its main job is to prevent glare, ghosting and reflections. BBAR stands for ‘broad-band anti-reflection’ and the presence of this coating will just up the ante in the smartphone photography world.

Other rumours suggest that Samsung may be including wireless AKG headphones with the Galaxy S9. What’s interesting is that Samsung will be retaining the headphone jack even though the company has opted to provide wireless earphones with the smartphone.
Ice Universe has revealed many leaks in the past that have been accurate and was the first person to successfully nail the Galaxy Note 8 design. The leaker was also the first in the world to obtain unreleased pictures of the Galaxy S8.
It should be noted that all the information above is based on rumours and it isn’t entirely certain whether these claims will be translated into the final device. For more news surrounding the Galaxy S9, keep a look out for news in our technology section.
