Delhi entered its tenth year of celebrating the Queer Pride Parade yesterday and it was spectacular. The beauty of the millennial generation is their innate power of embracing things which have been branded as ‘unacceptable’ and a ‘taboo’. The city came together on the streets on Sunday to put up a colourful show.
Homosexuality is a choice made by a human and not their religion.
We are currently living in times where people love others for who they are as a person, not what they are made of. Your choices make you and speaking out helps. Delhi streets were filled with messages for all haters who need to deal with the issue with a punch of dismay.
It’s safe to say that this year, it was all about loving each other and breaking barriers. The insane support is proof of that.
Let’s hope it only gets better from here. Who cares if you are gay or straight? As long as you’re happy and proud!
