2018 Commonwealth Games: India’s Super Sunday Gets Better As Weightlifter Vikas Thakur Secures Bronze

Vikas Thakur added more glory to an already exciting Day 4 for India as he secured a bronze medal in the 94kg weightlifting category.

The lad from Ludhiana lifted a total of 351 kg. Sadly it was not enough to win gold, however he was able to get a podium finish.

With a final effort of 159 kg, he pretty much sealed the deal. Weightlifters have won most of our medals and the tally is only expected to rise.
