Saina Nehwal proved to be the important factor as her straight games win over Jia Min Yeo ensured a win for India over Singapore in the badminton mixed team semis at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

She defeated Jia 21-8, 21-15 to help India wrap it up. These means we are in the final and it also guarantees another medal. A silver is certainly coming and a possible gold.

Ashwini Ponnappa and Satwik Rankireddy gave India the perfect start which they built on to make it 2-0. But Singapore pulled one back before Saina came in to save the day.
