Alt-J Is Coming To India This February So Be There Or Be Square

This just in, the phenomenal Indie rock band, Alt-J is coming to India to perform as one of the headliners at the Vh1 Supersonic, in Pune, between 09th to 11th February, 2018. The group are one of the most sought after names on the scene. Ever since their inception, back in the early 2000s, Alt-J have been gaining momentum and fandom across the globe.

Formed by Gwil Sainsbury (guitar/bass), Joe Newman (guitar/lead vocals), Thom Sonny Green (drums) and Gus Unger-Hamilton (keyboards/vocals), Alt-J released their debut album, ‘An Awesome Wave’, in May and September 2012, across Europe and United States, respectively. And their second album, released in September 2014, titled, ‘This Is All Yours’ went straight up the charts to the number one spot.

They’ve been touring like crazy through the year and marking Pune, India as a stopover on their itinerary is just what the Indian music festival goers would be looking forward to. 

The team at Viacom and Vh1 Supersonic are really keeping are hopes upheld; what with Major Lazer and now, Alt-J. It seems like the names, the anticipation and the stakes are getting bigger and bigger as time closes in and the days are all the more numbered.

If last year was phenomenal for the audiences who attended Vh1 Supersonic, thanks to the likes of Eric Prydz and Macklemore, this time, the bets are even higher with Major Lazer and Alt-J. We can’t wait to know more.
