Amazon Echo speakers and Music Unlimited are coming to 28 new countries, see the entire list here

Amazon is doing a big expansion of its media services. Today, the company announced that it has introduced Music Unlimited, its paid music streaming service, and the Echo smart speakers to 28 new markets in Europe and South America.

Here’s the complete list of newly-added countries:

Belgium, Bolivia, Bulgaria, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Estonia, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Panama, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Sweden, Uruguay.

Amazon Music Unlimited features a catalog of 40 million songs. In the US, a standard non-Prime subscription costs $9.99/month. There are three plan options, but it’s interesting to note that the prices for the newly added countries (including the ones in the EU) do seem to vary.

For example, clicking on the Bulgarian flag reveals that the most basic plan starts at €4.99/mo, while French customers would need to pay €9.99/mo for the same service. This is a rather unusual marketing strategy, but it looks like Amazon could be adjusting its subscription price in accordance with the living standards in each country. You can check pricing for your country by heading to amazonmusic.com.

Display languages on the Amazon Music Web Player and App for iOS and Android will be English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese.
