The iPhone 8 Plus might look exactly like the iPhone 7 Plus but it is still amongst the best smartphones in the world right now. The device is optimised for iOS 11 and even though there are a few glitches that need to be worked on, the 8 Plus can do wonders. The smartphone is a workhorse, takes amazing pictures, is very powerful and looks absoloutely gorgeous. The iPhone 8 Plus has another feature that has been rated the best in performance i.e. the battery life.
Phone Area, a smartphone blog, ran a few tests through some extensive battery life tests and the results were shockingly amazing. The blog tested the iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus’ battery life and it was concluded that the 8 Plus outperformed almost every other smartphone in the market. The 8 Plus has a relatively smaller battery that is also low-capacity. However, the A11 Bionic chip is far superior and way more efficient than the 7 Plus’ A10 and proved to work like a charm on the 8 Plus.

In the tests, the 8 Plus topped the iPhone 8’s battery life by 25% and lasted more than 10 hours. You might think that 10 hours is not a whole lot of battery backup, however, you must realise that the smartphone went through an aggressive and extensive test. The #2 phone is the HTC U11, which lasted 9 hours and 14 minutes.
Battery life is one of the most important features of a smartphone and the 8 Plus proved to be efficient enough to be the number 1 device to achieve maximum battery backup. Many Apple fans are holding out for the iPhone X and the ultimate flagship device has even a smaller battery than the 8 Plus. It is a cause for concern as the iPhone X hosts a higher-resolution display, though Apple does claim that the two phones have comparable battery life.
