Mahendra Singh Dhoni is no longer the finisher he once used to be for India. He lost his captaincy to Virat Kohli and on top of that, his age (36) has also restricted him to limited-overs cricket. And now, many believe that the former Indian skipper is possibly inching closer towards the end of his glorious career.
But, despite all the shortcomings and limitations, Dhoni’s exploits in recent games has proved he is not only fit, but also faster than before.

Whether it’s running between the wickets or terrorizing opposition batsmen behind the stumps, Dhoni’s level of fitness and his capabilities remain unscathed even as he grows old with time. And, the fact that the Jharkhand cricketer recently became the first-ever wicket-keeper in the history of ODI cricket to go past 100 stumpings is surely a testimony to that.
And, if that wasn’t enough, Dhoni’s latest video with his pet dog ‘Sam’ shows he’s equally up to the task, off the field. A video of Dhoni playing the mirror game with his dog was shot and later uploaded by his wife Sakshi on Instagram.
The video shows the Indian cricketer’s pet imitating his master. While Sam matched Dhoni on every move, he eventually failed to keep pace with MSD, who was just too quick for him.
As India gears up to take on Australia in the three-match T20I series, Dhoni’s fans will once again expect their ‘Captain Cool’ to make a mark in the shortest format of the beautiful game. And, while his teammates must be sweating it out in training, Dhoni has showcased one heck of a way to prepare for the upcoming series.
