After Karni Sena and their fierce protests, and Swara Bhaskar’s open letter making waves in the industry looks like Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat won’t ever stop making headlines.
Now, as per reports, the film has been released online and the leaked file is getting shared on the web extensively.
After a delay of almost two months, Padmaavat, earlier scheduled to hit the screens on Dec. 1, was released on Jan. 25. In order to get a solo release, SLB had requested Akshay Kumar to shift the release date of his film Padman. Akshay, being a generous man he is, complied with his request, but looks like the trouble didn’t end there.
Viacom 18 has lodged a complaint at the cyber cells of Maharashtra, Delhi and Chandigarh regarding the movie’s leak. Thereafter, it is said that the cyber cell has blocked a few of the IP addresses that were tracked.
It is not the first time that a movie has been leaked online. Films like Baahubali had also fallen prey to the crime. During the release of SS Rajamouli film, a piracy gang was also busted.
