Finally Udta Punjab has got its approval from CBFC. But the movie need to be tailored by 13 cuts as per CBFC.
“the film has been passed with ‘A’ certificate. The claim of producer to remove the title of the film by board is false. We never asked for its removal. But he said so in front of the media to gain publicity. All these reports are false” said Nihalani on Sunday.
The Bombay high court slammed CBFC by saying Body was meant to certify films and not censor them.
“The CBFC job is now over now it’s up to producer to go to tribunal or court. We will implement the order.” Mr. Nihalani said.
