If you own any of these models and you’re a Verizon subscriber, once you receive a notification telling you that the update has arrived on your handset, make sure that you are connected to a Wi-Fi signal before starting the updating process. Additionally, make sure the battery is fully charged before downloading and installing the new files.
Chances are, all of the phones getting updated tomorrow are also receiving the latest Android security patch. Some of the models are way behind. For example, this will be the first update for the Verizon branded LG G6 since the dog days of August, which means that the phone is months behind with the July security update that the model currently sports. Whatever you do, do not daydream about this update containing Android 8 (Oreo), because that is what we would call a pipe dream. And the last thing you want to feel is disappointment.
