Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane came to the party to help India crush South Africa by 6 wickets in the first ODI in Durban.
The duo added 189 for the 3rd wicket to chase down their target of 270 with 27 balls to spare.
Kohli made 112 in 119 balls in which he hit 10 fours. He once again proved how good he is while chasing. Rahane’ 86-ball 79 contained 5 fours and 2 sixes and it was a welcome return to form for the right-hander.
Earlier Faf du Plessis’ 120 helped the hosts post 269/8. India lead the 6-match ODI series 1-0. The next match is on February 4 in Centurion.
